RSS ReaderJason and Tammy Barrett of Laurel County, Kentucky, had their foster-care license revoked because they admitted to attending snake-handling religious services, even though they didn’t take their four foster kids to the services. Apparently the state of Kentucky, and specifically an agency called Lifeway for Youth Kentucky, are crazed PETA fanatics who don’t realize that, in modern snake-handling denominations, the serpents are not harmed in any way and in fact are quite well fed with diets of live mice as well as the usual fare of satanic infidel non-believers.
I hear that there is a "group" of beleivers on Columbia Ave. that have fire-walked a time or two. No snakes harmed there either, just humans.
My kids and I hand-load nitrous oxide bottles in the garage. We also recycle medical sharps together. I don't see the problem.
Everyone knows PETA would complain about the feeding and care of the snakes, nevermind the kiddies. Besides, I'm sure social services were outraged that these children were left home alone on a Sunday.
Lesson learned: admit nothing to the authorities.
