I have two words for all these guys (and gals)

HOLY CRAP!

As in, the stuff they're selling is (un)holy crap!

Nick Cato | 08:43 pm on 11/14/2007

I would give BOTH MY ARMS to hear what the apostle Paul would say to this huckster as well as everyone else invloved in the so-called "Faith" movement.

Anonymous | 12:17 am on 2/21/2008

Nick...i want both your arms. Because I know that Paul himself would have no problem with the 1 million dollar gift. In fact, he would have sent people to each pastor not only telling them to give, but to do it with a good heart. This is cleary demonstrated in 2 Corinthians Chapter 9. Paul also says whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously (lavishly) will also reap generously. Read this chapter.....you CANNOT outgive God. Its a matter of the heart of the giver. If I...the Giver....give someone a gift because the Lord has instructed me to do so, and I do this with a cheerful heart, isn't it then a gift unto the Lord? Of course it is.

Keep your arms Nick...God's love for you is great. His faithfulness to you lasts forever.

DAvid | 11:15 pm on 7/17/2008

Your post draws a sad picture of what Christendom has devolved to. When people of average income, (15-100 a year) can excuse these millionaires. The word said there would be times like these. I want to ask permission to use your quote in some Biblical discernment Bible studies and sermons if you don't mind. It encapsulates what the Church (universal) has sunk to.

Anonymous | 02:50 am on 6/19/2009

You have no respect or class, are you sure your a women or a little girl??

nan | 01:58 pm on 11/13/2007

I think Bro. Dollar's answers were very good. People seem to think that ministers should be broken down to a humble nothing and broke in their finances, only able to make it from paycheck to paycheck and eating the crumbs of others. When they are, people automatically judge them and say they aren't doing something right or they wouldn't be in such a financial tight. Then when they believe God for the best and are blessed such as these are, then folks automatically say they are thieving from the poor. My question to all those who are looking for ghosts and are constantly critizing ministers of God, where is that fine line to be drawn so that the constant harrassment stops and you're destructive appetite is satisfied? How much for them is too much or to little?

Anonymous | 07:15 am on 11/14/2007

Kenneth Copeland does NOT need another million dollars. There are kids & older adults starving & homeless. Why don't they take up an offering to help more of these people? As of now, I quit giving to anyone else outside of my church & one other place. As far as I'm
concerned, our money has been mis-spent. Is anyone else out there, going to "wise up"??

Anonymous | 02:49 am on 6/19/2009

"Wise Up"???? You don't seem wise yourself, how do you know that the million he received won't go to help others that follows GOD's word? To give is to receive..I think people need to open there spiritual eyes and ears and realize that there is a spiritual war in the world and the devil has most of you captive. GOD has promises for all, and the all that don't use it would speak as you do so its very clear your into religion and not realationship...you should study your bible and stop following people

Toby | 12:33 pm on 11/14/2007

Who exactly is going to condemn a minister for being poor? Not anyone around here. So who in the world are you talking about?

And here's the fine line you ask for: don't get rich through fraudulent activities and by perverting the gospel, and I'm pretty sure the Door folks will leave you alone.

Anonymous | 10:02 am on 11/14/2007

Nothing short of jail is good enough for these guys. What a contrast of the life of our Lord and the life these deceivers lead. May God have mercy on them for theirs is the judgement of the lord.

Raj | 10:56 am on 11/14/2007

When it comes to Money Honey .. Creflo Dollar relies more on the First Amendment.

Pretty blatantly shameless answers that come from worldly wisdom. The haughty look itself condemns him as ~ delivered to satan.

Pam | 06:44 pm on 11/21/2007

The Prosperity Preachers passed the hat for a millionaire??? They are shameless scam artists bilking millions of dollars from poor folks through their pyramid Ponzi scheme!! Why don't they sell Amway to make their money - at least it's more honest than trying to sell their demonized version of the Gospel!

Anonymous | 12:16 am on 11/26/2007

maybe spending over 23,000 dollars for a toliet commode is a bit much but you know what this isn't about any of these ministers its not about you or me . This is a trick or ploy of satan to attack the kingdom of God and all these people who are attacking these people are just tools for the emeny of God. How many souls have been won by these people. no one ever says anything about the pope who wears a crown worth millions and is so heavy he can't
keep his head straight. yeh they take vows of proverty but they live like kings and queens and who mislead people more than the catholics . why dont you ask them to open up their books and see whose cheating who.

RESPONSE TO Anonymous | 12:16 am on 11/26/2007

These pimps preach a "twisted" inaccurate gospel. If you got saved under one of these ministries, please make sure you are saved. They "sell" a fake jesus and he is not the Jesus of the Bible.

Why do the prosperity idiots ALWAYS say that the rest of us are condemning preachers to be poor. Where'd the middle of the road? Why can't they just have a $150,000 house....that's way more than I have. I don't mind if they have a nice car, house, etc. But this rock star life has made them all change to be completely focused on money and not God.

Satan has these ministers by the brain, and it needs to be taken down. The kingdom of these prosperity pimps IS satan's kingdom...NOT GODS.

Anonymous | 12:24 am on 2/21/2008

So where in the Bible does it say you can only have a 150k dollar home? Have you read the Bible all the way through? Do you understand Him and know Him? He is bigger than 150k dollar houses. Why shouldn't a man of God live "like a rockstar"? Where in the Bible does it limit a person's wealth to a certain degree or number if you are to be used as an instrument of God?

Please read the Bible before putting limitations on God. He cannot be outgiven!

PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT BELEIVERS IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE BLESSINGS GOD BESTOWS UPON HIS CHILDREN. GODS PEOPLE IN THESE LAST DAYS ARE GOING TO RISE UP AND POSSESS THE LAND. WE ARE DESTINED TO BE KINGS AND PRIESTS IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN AND NO ONE THERE IS IN POVERTY. WHAT YOU ARE WITNESSING IS THE TRUTH OF SCRIPTURE. BLESSINGS WITH PERSECUTION. BE FAIR WARNED ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO COME AGAINST THIS GROUP OF MINISTERS BECAUSE IF GOD BE FOR THEM WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD BE AGAINST THEM. YOU ARE GOING TO BRING DOWN THE WRATH OF GOD UPON YOUR HEAD AND YOUR SEED. THE ONLY THING THAT IS GOING TO COME OF THIS IS THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GIVE MORE TO THEM TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT. AND WHAT YOU WILL FIND IS THAT GOD HAVE GIVEN THEM THE MATURITY AND A POWERFUL ANNOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO OVERCOME THIS AND ANY PERSECUTION IN THE FUTURE.

PimpAlert | 09:57 pm on 11/28/2007

RESPONSE TO Anonymous | 03:12 am on 11/28/2007

It appears that God is the very one who is taking these ministries down and allowing them to be exposed. I remember Joyce Meyer saying that she didn't think God would let her stand before his people and lie to them. Well, Joyce, you were right!

They are all going down and the world will be a better place without them. Then maybe people will seek God's face and want to know who HE is not how much money he can give you.

Shame on all of you who support this sham!!! These pimps are leading people to hell.

REad your bibles, Jesus spoke more against money than he did for it.

Anonymous | 06:45 pm on 12/28/2007

question: If whoever thinks these preachers are caught up in there riches....then who do you say that you listen to on TV that is correct? Are there any ministers that have it right? Can't wait for your responce!

Anonymous | 11:17 pm on 1/05/2008

You listen to God by reading the word for yourself. The bible states to rightly divide the word of truth, but you will never know what is true unless you read it for yourself.

Anonymous | 03:56 am on 12/16/2008

Very well stated. I followed others too long. I was too lazy to find out for myself. I was blessed to have the very un-deserved wisdom of God that I desperately cried out for. I will tell you this...when you have a real encounter with God you realize how fake and fading this whole world is. When you have a real encounter of Jesus Christ, who by the way told us to give up what we have and follow him, you realize the monsters in the world. I don't know if these evangilist are of God or not. What I do know is that this whole world was given to the devil by Adam. It has since been his playground and we have all been pawns in the game. It will end soon. The New World Order is here via satan, the occult, Iluminati, freemasonarys and our entertainment industry. Via drugs, poisoned water we were told to drink 8 times a day, vaccines to dumb down our children, and rock music that contains spells of demons. Anyone that knows God, that has had a real encounter with the Christ knows that money is but paper that will burn with the rest of the earth.

Heather | 09:59 pm on 12/18/2007

I am sorry to say that they are not being persecuted. Biblical persecution involves being persecuted for our belief in Christ, not our pocket books. Christians ARE to be discerning and anyone who reads ALL the Bible will quickly see that these men are perveyers of a gospel not centered on Christ and who HE is but on what He can do for us. He is not an ATM in the sky and prosperity teaching caters to our American "Me" culture. When we as Christians seek first the kingdom of GOD and HIS righteousness, we will not need to center our life on what "I" have. I have listened to these preachers alot and on the suface they seem o.k., but when you listen to hear what they say about GOD it is usually in a very man-centered way. Where is repentance and the depravity of man? Where is hell and the wrath of GOD? What have happened to "evangelism"? I am afraid when it comes to the popular preachers, it is a popularity contest and whoever tickles the most ears, wins.

Marilyn | 11:14 pm on 1/05/2008

I totally agreee with the person's assesment that God is going to punish those of you who persecute His chosen minister's. Only those with a true realtionship with God understand the blessing bestowed upon the Mega Preachers. No one is to judge how God wants to bless His man or woman of God! Has any of you persecutors read the description in Revelations of what Heaven looks like? There's nothing impoverished about our Lord. I love to see a blessed man of God. It gives me hope. The blessings of my pastor have rolled off him and onto me. I'm too busy trying to get mine to be worried about what the man of God has. I now pursue my purpose and what God has planned for me as a result of my Mega Preacher's ministry. Elevate your minds people. There is nothing wrong with a preacher having millions especially when his ministry impacts the world around him in a major positive way. Leave my pastor alone. I am a proud member of the Potters House!

Dimitri Lawrence Guy, on November 30th, 2007 at 2:16 pm Said:

I personally believe that the bible was written several hundred years ago, published and distributed in an attempt (by governing authorities) to control the masses of the public. Using the bible was a way for the U.S. Government to control the public by appealing to their conscious through a mythical authority such as “God”, “Jesus”, or even the “Devil”, or “Satan”. I fell for this shit as a teenager. I lived my earlier years dealing with this life oppressing and life altering bullshit. I finally discovered that as a black man living in America, instead of relying on “God”, I needed to stake my claim on R-E-S-P-E-C-T by educating myself and by determining that I would NOT allow myself to be disrespected. It’s unfortunate that a lot, if not most, of Black Americans have fallen victim to this religious bullshit called Christianity. I now refuse to believe that the “God” of the “Bible” exist. I don’t believe that “Jesus” existed. If he did exist, then HE of all people should have realize that it is totally unfair for an “Almighty God” to require the people of the world (who have had absolutely no type of access to 100% truth or have ever seen a divine miracle by Jesus) to put all of their trust and faith in a person written about around 2000 years ago, who claimed to be the son of God (the so called Creator Of The Universe)in order to be assured of eternal life in paradise rather than an eternal existence in a place of torment. I understand that this will be almost impossible for most people to comprehend, but if you take time to think about it, and think about what your own opinion of the “Almighty God” is and what you’ve been told about the type of Love and Compassion that the “Almighty God” is suppose to have for YOU and for all of Humanity, you’ll begin to realize that all of the information that you’ve been listening to for all of these years is so damn confusing and contradictary. In other words, IT’S ALL BULLSHIT!!!!!! Doesn’t the bible say that “God is not the author of confusion?” Well, the fact that this is written in the bible means that if YOU TRULY believe that the bible was written by the inspiration of “God”, then the bible contradicted itself just by that statement because the bible is FULL Of Contradictions which creates CONFUSION. To all of the African American “Christians” out their, Get Off Of Your Knees!!! Don’t Waste Your Time Praying To A God Who Isn’t In The Business Of Granting Requests. You’ve Been Created With All Of The Necessary Tools To Be Self Sufficient. Learn to do what ever it takes to happily exist in this country and to just live on this planet. Consider this message that was written by ME to be the answer to your prayers that just happen to be heard by our TRUE Creator. YOU have what it takes to answer your OWN requests. Get off of your knees and go to work or go back to school and learn something new that you can work at in order to take care of yourselves and your family. If not, just lay down and die. The choice is yours. Either way, you’ll win. But, if you stay on your Knees expecting “God” to do something for you, YOU’LL LOSE!!!!!!!

Apologies for some of these crude remarks made by my fellow colleagues. Nothing is more hurtful than a few verses taken out of context. You've made an educated decision, therefore the verse in Psalms really makes little difference. And it sounds as if you've been through quite a bit. It's easy to throw answers out when we don't have to talk face to face, toss around cliches, verses, whatever. G-d isn't Santa, who knows if you've been bad or good, who gives you whatever you want, "makes all things better," kisses your boo-boos and takes everything away, giving you a better life and protects you from all harm. Obviously you're quite aware of this. I have had my share of scrapes and knicks as well. Many crises of faith. I really can't give a good answer of why I keep going back. I walked away for a good while, tried to live 2 lives for a while, and have even pissed off my own pastor recently when I gave him honest opinions about what I thought of things.

Anyway, if you wish to ask questions, feel free to email me: liansara@gmail.com. Otherwise, don't take anything personally when these knuckleheads spout off at you. They really have no idea what they are saying and are mostly programmed only to prove they are right, most times. It's a fault, really.

We love ya.

Marty Cramer | 11:25 pm on 12/06/2007

You sound angry and diconnected. I am sorry you feel that way but you make statements that you cannot defend. "then the bible contradicted itself just by that statement because the bible is FULL Of Contradictions." This is a quote form you. Now name one place where the Bible contradicted itself. Actually you would have to name two places because to contradict itself it by definition, has to name two things that do not jibe. The only thing I or any other true believer expect from God is forgiveness.

Because televangelist are being investigated. Now there is no
God. Scripture says the fool has said in his heart there is
no God. God is, and will forever be. People may fail, but
God never does. You cannot blame God for the actions of
people. To speak so harshly against God, when he loved you
so much he sent his Son. One day, we will all give an
account of our words and deeds. To those of you who
spoke so harshly about others. All I can say is are you
guiltless, without remorse. Have you lived such a pure,
unspotted life. We are all sinners. Christians are sinners,
saved by a loving God. Every christian has at some time in his
life sinned. Why all the hatred towards Christians and God.
Not all Doctors are good. But we don't condemn them all.
Me, I believe Jesus is the Son of God. I believe God heals.
I believe Jesus saves. I have felt the love of God. I know
he is real. I do think in the churches, it would be better to
lift up the cross, preach there is a heaven to gain, a hell
to escape. Personally I thank God, for who he is, I thank
Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, for loving mankind
so much that he willingly laid down his life for us all.

I don't know too much about televangelists, but I am a Christian youth pastor. I can telly ou right now that I don't make a million dollars a year, I don't make 20,000 dollars a year to be honest but the Lord has provided for me every step of the way. I am one who has stayed on my knees but I am married, working full time, and going to school full time to pursue my bachelors degree. God WILL give when you don't deserve it, but he also put two hands on your arms so you can go out and work for him and for your family. The one question I have to ask televangelists is are they really doing the Lords will, which is spreading Christ to all the world. If they are TRULY seaking the Lord in everything they do then I have NO problem with them making millions. I would LOVE to be a millionaire. but I won't compromise who Christ is in my heart and in my life.It saddens me when evangelists get this kind of attention when there are billions of people all over the world who do not know the incredible gift of salvation.

HeavenSent | 11:18 pm on 1/04/2008

Well I have been following all of this and have had a lot of mixed opinions. I have been to Pastor Dollars church as he is the spiritual father to my pastor and have to say that what he preaches is all in the good book. What is wrong with God's child having all of the things that God promised to him? We see rappers, strippers, performers, actors and everyone else in the carnal and flesh thriving world making millions and millions of dollars, but when a pastor preaching the gospel and living holy decides to spend 23,000 dollars on a toilet we have a problem? Be real!!! Why should a pastor make barely nothing just because a member in his church does....that is why he is preaching and teaching those things that are of God...to bring those misguided individuals into the kingdom so that they will prosper as well. What we fail to realize is that Creflo Dollar is not a dumb man...he has published books, has his own companies, and is doing more than most for his communities. How many pastors do you know have put condom dispensers up in the neighborhood? How many pastors do you know are going out to the clubs and strip clubs to invite those living in the flesh into the house of the lord.....not many. There is nothing wrong with preaching and teaching about prosperity when you are preaching and teaching about saving souls and living in Christ. Have any of you even gone to his church? researched what he has done? or are you basing your judgments on what the world is feeding you. Seek and you shall find.....seek the real truth behind Creflo Dollar....don't just be that kid in school who was too lazy to do the real work and take someone else's word for it!

Jim | 01:55 am on 1/05/2008

Has anyone condemning any of these preachers actually ever listened to or learned anything from them. Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar and Kenneth Copeland PAY for their TV airtime and, if you took the time to listen, you will NOT hear them spending their time reaching into your pocket. They are preaching the gospel and how it is relevant to your life. They spend a couple of minutes at the end of the program to offer you a teaching series or to partner with them. Then YOU decide. MILLIONS benefit by listening and give NOTHING.

If you are getting benefit from their teachings and you donate money to keep them on the air, who is getting hurt?? Anyone watch Public Television??

And these preachers don't run a church with a few hundred people and preach a service on Sunday morning. They fly all over the world with tremendous obligations and intense schedules.

Who by the way is forcing anyone to give anything?? If you are benefiting from the message and give, that is between you, God and that ministry.

It is not as if you were giving a SPECIFIC amount for a SPECIFIC project and that money was used inappropriately. People give to support the MESSAGES they HEAR and to keep them coming.

And do you really believe that people will seek the face of God on their own??? Please!! People are basically lazy in this area and if more people are brought to God through them, then I say GOD BLESS THEM. Let God decide if they are wrong and if they are, HE will deal with it in his own time. I say not!

Shattah206 | 11:03 pm on 1/06/2008

I'm with HeavenSent & Jim -- I have learned a great deal from both Dr. Dollar and Joyce. I have given to support both of their ministries. Benny Hinn isn't my cup of tea -- I don't give to him. The point is that it was my money, which I legally earned and voluntarily gave. I received thier messages free of charge like the other millions of folks. I chose to send them my money with full knowledge of the amazing, blessed lifestyles they enjoy.

The bottom line to their teaching is that prosperity includes but is not limited to money, and that the people of God need to be in a position to help our neighbors. Budweiser doesn't build hospitals! The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous, and the Bible does promise us blessing in every area of life now in this time, in accordance with the prosperity of our souls.

My pastor lives a very comfortable lifestyle. He's a smart guy with a lot of charisma. If he were to abandon preaching the Word in favor of some other way of making a living, he'd be much more wealthy than he is now. I'm glad he has made a great living and his children's future is secured. They serve the Lord also. There aren't so many angry, rebellious PKs in the ministry groups targeted here. Their kids understand that God takes care of His own, and that dedicating thier life to following Him does not mean poverty. Check out the fruit.

In the meantime, I will continue to voluntarily give my money to whoever I choose and I expect the government to stay out of it. I also expect to continue being blessed financially as well as spiritually so that I can continue to be a blessing to my extended family, friends, and my community.

Anonymous | 06:46 pm on 1/13/2008

Well let me hear it from other Christains......I am not judging anyone but came here to share something with you all.I have personally know of churches turning people away if they come for help saying you must be a member....one incident turned to a tradgedy when a young woman was told that and she killed her 2 children in the most horrible way.................
took them into a gas station and cut ones head off and stabbed the other child to death 1 yr and 3 years old....did they know about a church membership....and yet other times instead of giving the poor one a seat make them sit on the floor.....I am sure I am not in just one town where such things go on.Jesus spoke of religious leaders in His day. local prosperty church....throwing all jewelery at the ministers......some are twisting the Word here....what happened to if a man needs your shirt give him your coat also...I want to hear honestly from the rest of you......where and just who is prospering.....also what about prosper as your soul prospers????

Joel S. | 11:13 am on 1/14/2008

The Lord Himself is tearing down modern day, positional Christianity. This is just the beginning.

Stop sending your money to these building earthly kingdoms and sow your seed into those truly in need that are all around you - advancing the Kingdom of Heaven.

Angela | 10:48 pm on 2/01/2008

Amen to that!!! The Bible say that some men's sins are opened before going into judgement and some mens sins after the judgement. It is the goodness and the mercy of God that these sins are opened and revealed before judgement rather than after when it is too late to repent.

The sin that caused Solomon to backslide was excess. It was against the law for Kings to have an over abundance of gold, horses and etc. In Solomon's bragging of what all he had gotten he also came to the conclusion that it was all vanity. (look at me)

As for these preachers teaching how much Abraham was blessed they never teach the key to his prosperity. Abraham was blessed because he obeyed God. That simple.

I pray that those who follow the false teachers wake up and read the bible and let the Holy Spirit lead them into the truth. The truth is always clear in the Bible you just have to trust the Word.

what value can we
put on kingdoms building?
I don't know what the fuss is all about, cerflo is providing value and asking to compensation. I can hear his message for free. It is my choice to pay for additional content or to provide a gift. God will judge his ministry we don't have to. His ministry does not have to include filanthrapy that may not be his speritual gift. His gift is in teaching and leading and I enjoy his msg. I wonder if the people who are "investigating" him are believers? Or is their some self serving motive for the investigation?

I WOULD RATHER HEAR ABOUT PASTORS MAKING MONEY TO PREACH THE WORD OF GOD THAN LISTEN TO PEOPLE RAP AND SING ABOUT SEX MONEY DRUGS AND MURDER ITS A SHAME HOW PEOPLE RESPECT AND IDOLIZE ENTERTAINMENT AND SEE NO WRONG IN SPENDING THEIR MONEY ON THE NEGATIVITY AND CRITICIZE FOLKS WHO INHANCE PEOPLES FAITH, HELP FIND PEOPLES FAITH, GIVE FOLKS REASON TO LIVE AND BE HAPPY AND PREACH THE WORD OF GOD. PPL SHOULD REALLY GET A LIFE. THE GOV IS MAD BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE TO PAY TAXES.

no one cares when a rock star buy a million dollar watch or a actor buys a 3 million dollar home you watch mtv cribs and no one has a problem with them folks bragging on how much this or that cost but when it comes to preachers (men of GOD ) everyone points there finger and judges them. why don't they look to see how much money is given to those in need to 3rd world countries this is one of the reasons these no profit churches are not taxed because they give.there are bad preaches out there just like there are bad cops, bad polotitians and car mechanics but if you go to a mechanic and he looks like one, talks like one, and says he is one dose not mean he is a real mechanic and when he messes up your car it dose not stop you from taking your car to another mechanic so don't let some bad preachers keep you from receiving the word of GOD from a real preacher. most of theses teacher write books and sell videos i imagine they make some good money from the sales of these items the same way a rapper makes money off of cd's the same way a rock star makes money from songs, the same way a author makes money from novels whats the difference? the difference is we are living in a time where evil is looked at as good and good is looked at as evil they look at a rock star that is having sex before he is married with 3 girls as good and nothing is wrong with that but the bible says that it is wrong and fornicators will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. this world says and teaches to our youth that being gay is ok ( 1 Corinthians 6;9-10) when the GOD of the bible says that it is an abomination in his eyes these people who live by the word of the most high GOD are being attacked by a world that hates and are against the word of GOD Jesus said a house divided by its self cannot stand(MARK 3;22-26) thats why those who believe that the only way to heaven is through Jesus and live by the words that are in the bible are the ones being attacked by this ungodly world what other faith is more hated than us Muslims?? no you can't say nothing bad bout them its not politically correct .. the catholics allot of the priest have sexual abuse investigations going on but they are not as dis-liked as us Hinduism NO! it is those who believe that Jesus is the son of GOD. even satan worshipers don't go after any other faith except the faith of Christ(MARK 3;22-26) GOD said if you are not for me you are against me (Matthew 12:30 ) ...don't choose the wrong side

Jerry T | 04:22 am on 8/06/2008

It's a poor argument for "millionaire preachers" to talk about others living extravagantly. We have been brainwashed to accept that movie stars, athletes, Wall Street and CEO's actually deserve outrageous sums of money because it's "capitalism at work". Simple but honest work is so disrespected in our society that you can work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year and not even survive on it. Recently it was reported that in Durango Colorado 72% of the population cannot afford to buy a house there. Yet we will pay "stars" millions even when their movies and TV shows are lousy. We'll pay CEO's millions even when their companies lose money or fail. We'll pay athletes millions, even when they don't win. A man on the television show Sixty Minutes was explaining why his yacht cost "180 million dollars". That's not a typo. 180 million dollars for a boat. The top 20% own 80% of the wealth in our country, and the gap between the wealthiest and the poorest is growing rapidly. I don't think that is healthy for a society and it's definitely not a Christian society. We are being bamboozled into thinking that "they" are worth it. It is our own fault. We "buy" it.
If you want to give preachers a lot of money for a lavish lifestyle that's your choice. Benny Hinn lives in a 8.5 million dollar house, drives expense cars, stays at expensive hotels and flies around in a 30 million dollar jet. My lifestyle is considerably more modest so he won't being seeing any of my money. Why people want to give him their money is beyond me because it's so obvious that he is scam artist, it's really an offense to God to give him money. Perhaps even sinfully stupid.
When the "Prosperity Preachers" who live lavishly themselves challenge you for your "seed money" to get God's blessing... does everyone get the promised financial blessing in return? No. Not everyone. Why? Because they lack faith. Blame the people who gave their money. Money may not be evil but it is a great temptation. What a perfect scam it can be. It's even tax free.
You don't need to be poor to be a saint but to have a lot when other have so little isn't what Jesus preached. For the rich He preached radical charity. Jesus was very aloof to personal wealth. His kingdom was spiritual.
When we decide that honest working people deserve at least a living wage, that 72% of working people living in Durango maybe should make enough to afford a house there, and that others really don't need a 180 million dollar yacht, then we will have made a better country for all of us. Christians and preachers don't need great material wealth. Greed is one of the seven deadly sins, I would like to see Christians challenge the greedy, not be the greedy.

I only have to say those millionaire ministeries do need to give to the poor. their are many of homeless people out there. Stop not giving to people unless they are a members of the church. You never know as the bible said when God test the church and send a poor family for help. they can make the millions but where is the heart when a regular human off the streets ask for food or help and get turned down for non member... THATS NOT OF MY GOD.if people can't turn to the church for help thats suppose to representing god. Then where should they turn. The bible speaks of how jesus fed the poor.

Let me just say this to all those that are against preachers prospering financially. If a publishing company came to you and told you they will give you a check for $3,000,000.00 to write about your life's history would you? I'm sure the answer will be yes. Once you write the book get your check what would you do with the money after you pay your taxes? Take it a step further. If the book you wrote makes the publishing company $8,000,000.00 what do you think that publishing company is going to do? They are going to keep offering you deals until you can't make any more money for them. T.D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland etc. sell millions of books and the publishing companies are paying these guys millions of dollars to do it. Don't be fooled the I.R.S is checking the books of these churches and these preachers are paying taxes just like the average person off what ever they make including there church salaries (don't be fooled). These guys are not stealing they are selling plenty of books. Just because a guy has a $8.5mill. dollar home doesn't mean its paid for. Just because a guy drives a fancy car doesn't mean the car is not leased. If the house is paid for the cars are paid for so what... Those ministries that decided to so called cooperate are foolish to do so under those conditions. If that senator wants them to open up there books let him open up his.

I believe in giving because I discovered principles in the bible for myself that I know work. I hope all those with there negative comments are not believers because if you'll are believers something is seriously wrong with you'll thinking. Just remember this Heaven has streets of Gold for starters, gates made out of real pearls and precious stones (what we consider precious)and if Jesus was poor what would a poor man need with a treasurer? (Judas) What was he going to hold $2.50. The real truth is this; poor people don't hate rich people it's usually the middle class without any hope in there lives. Everyone in America has the opportunity to become rich the reason why they are not is because they themselves (YOU) are stopping them (YOU). When it comes to the average African American we spend to much of our wealth on clothes, shoes, handbags and jewelry. If possible think through the years on how much you spent on these iteams and you will be shocked.

"God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servants" and if you believe Jesus was poor no debate here because "Jesus became poor so that we through his poverty can become RICH" either way you slice it God's will is for his people to be blessed and "The Blessing of the Lord maketh RICH" no matter how you put it.....lol

STOP HATING PLEASEEEE
